STELLA SCHOLA PTO SUPPORTS STELLA SCHOLA, A SEPARATE SCHOOL OF THE LAKE WASHINGTON PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. STELLA SCHOLA OFFERS SIXTH, SEVENTH, AND EIGHTH GRADERS A COMPREHENSIVE, CONSISTENT, CHALLENGING, AND CLASSICAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WITH HIGH ACADEMIC AND BEHAVIORAL STANDARDS AND SOLID TEACHER SUPPORT. ITS ACHIEVEMENTS ARE EVIDENCED IN THE HIGH WASL TEST SCORES OF ITS STUDENTS AND THEIR SUBSEQUENT ACHIEVEMENTS IN GRADES 9-12 AND BEYOND. STUDENTS LEARN BY IMMERSING THEMSELVES IN HISTORICAL THEMES WHERE AS MANY SUBJECTS AS POSSIBLE ARE INTEGRATED, AND WHERE STUDENTS ARE ENGAGED IN LEARNING THAT RELATES TO REAL LIFE. TO SUPPORT FIELD TRIPS TAKEN BY STUDENTS DURING THE YEAR, INCLUDING BOTH LOCAL TRIPS TO EDUCATIONAL DESTINATIONS SUCH AS MUSEUMS, AS WELL AS OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL TO WASHINGTON, DC.
TO SUPPORT SUPPLIES AND STIPENDS FOR CLASSROOMS AT STELLA SCHOLA, ALLOWING THE TEACHERS GREATER FLEXIBILITY AND INCENTIVIZING A VARIED AND UNIQUE COURSE CURRICULUM.
TO SUPPORT A VARIETY OF CLUBS AT STELLA SCHOLA, SUCH AS CHESS CLUB, SKI CLUB, YOGA, AND GARDENING.
