LEO MAINTAINS 4 ADULT FAMILY HOMES, WHICH ARE DEBT FREE, FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES THE FOUR ADULT FAMILY HOMES, ROSE HOUSE, ANN DENNIS HOUSE, ANGELA HOUSE AND NANCY HOUSE, HOUSE 20 ADULTS AND 4 CARE PROVIDERS PROVIDING THIS TYPE OF FACILITY HELPS TO FURTHER THE MISSION OF INCLUDING ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDING THEM WITH INDEPENDENCE.
LEO USES RESOURCES TO INCREASE COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, ENCOURAGE THEIR INCLUSION IN ALL ASPECTS OF COMMUNITY LIFE AND MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL WITH A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY TO ACHIEVE A QUALITY LIFE IN THE GREATER ISSAQUAH AREA. EXAMPLES OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT INCLUDE THE ANNUAL GRAVITY CHALLENGE RACE FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN (ALL VOLUNTEER LABOR), AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO INCREASE COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, ENCOURAGE THEIR INCLUSION IN ALL ASPECTS OF COMMUNITY LIFE AND MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL WITH A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY TO ACHIEVE A QUALITY LIFE IN THE GREATER ISSAQUAH AREA. THE MAJORITY OF THESE ACTIVITIES WERE PUT ON HOLD FOR 2021 DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS. WE DID HAVE A PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINER COME WEEKLY TO EACH HOUSE FOR THE RESIDENTS HEALTH AND FITNESS.
