WE RESCUE DACHSHUNDS FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS. TRANSFERS IN OWNERSHIP FROM GOOD SAMARITANS, SHELTERS OR OWNERS NO LONGER ABLE TO CARE FOR THE DOGS. MOST DOGS WOULD BE EUTHANIZED IF DROH HAD NOT RESCUED THEM. EVERY RESCUE DOG IS SENT IMMEDIATELY TO A DROH DESIGNEATED VET CLINIC FOR EVALUATION TO ENSURE IMMEDIATE CARE FOR THE DOG IS PROVIDED. THIS PROCESS REDUCES THE CHANGE OF CONTAGIOUS DOGS BEING PLACED IN HOMES WITH RESIDENT DOGS. DROH SPAYS/NEUTERS, VACCINATES, CHIPS AND PROVIDES NEEDED MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR ALL RESCUED DOGS AND CONTINUES TO COVER THE VETTING COSTS OF THE RESCUED DOGS UNTIL ADOPTION. THE MAJORITY OF ALL DROH'S SPENDING GOEST TO VETTING AND CARING FOR OUR DOGS WITH THE AVERAGE CARE COST BEING 975 PER DOG.
