THROUGH UNITY WE WILL STRENGTHEN OUR VOICES AND BUILD RESOURCES TO CREATE AWARENESS AND ELIMINATE SEXUAL VIOLENCE AGAINST INDIAN WOMEN AND CHILDREN. WE WILL VIGOROUSLY APPLY OUR EFFORTS TOWARD INFLUENCING SOCIAL CHANGE AND RECLAIM OUR TRADITIONAL VALUES THAT HONOR THE SOVEREIGNTY OF INDIAN WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING - PROVIDED EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN MINNESOTA AND NATIONALLY TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND SEX TRAFFICKING OF AMERICAN INDIAN AND ALASKA NATIVE WOMEN AND CHILDREN TO ENHANCE AND STRENGTHEN TRIBAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL RESPONSE TO SUCH VIOLENCE.PEER TRAININGS: EQUAY WIIGAMIG PROGRAM & SHELTER ON FILE BUILDING AND CONFIDENTIALITY, MINNESOTA MMIR OFFICE, SURVIVOR STORY SHARE AND BIRCH BARK EARRING MAKING.15TH ANNUAL STATEWIDE 3-DAY CONFERENCE, 19 PRESENTERS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS, INCLUDING SEX TRAFFICKING, MMIW-R, HEALTHY SEXUALITY, STORYTELLING, ART, AND ACTIVISM AS HEALING, AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION.VIRTUAL 40-HOUR SEXUAL ASSAULT ADVOCACY TRAINING: 148 REGISTERED, 67 COMPLETIONS.IN PERSON 40- HOUR SEXUAL ASSAULT ADVOCACY TRAINING: 43 REGISTERED, 28 COMPLETIONS.WE PROVIDED TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO 39 TRIBAL SEXUAL ASSAULT SERVICES PROGRAM GRANTEES.WE PROVIDED TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO 5 PROJECT BEACON GRANTEES.WE PROVIDED TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, PROJECT COORDINATION, AND LOGISTICAL SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE STRENGTHENING SOVEREIGN RESPONSES TO SEX TRAFFICKING IN INDIAN COUNTRY AND ALASKA CONFERENCE. WE HAD APPROXIMATELY 293 ATTENDEES, INCLUDING 19 FEDERAL PRESENTERS. OVER THE THREE MAIN CONFERENCE DAYS WE HAD 66 SPEAKERS AND 36 WORKSHOPS WITH 5 KEYNOTE SESSIONS. IN ADDITION, WE HELD TWO PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS ON MONDAY APRIL 8TH, TLPI FACILITATED THE SESSION ON ADVOCACY AND LETTAC PRESENTED FOR THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRACK. WE ARE ALSO ENGAGED WITH PLANNING THE GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE RESOURCE NETWORK, HOSTING POLICY DISCUSSIONS IN THAT SPACE, PRESENTING AND CO-HOSTING NATIONAL CONFERENCES INCLUDING THE NATIONAL SEXUAL ASSAULT CONFERENCE AND THE CONFERENCE ON CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN. WE ARE ALSO ISSUING PUBLIC POLICY STATEMENTS AND BRIEFINGS TO COALITION MEMBERSHIP AND NATIONAL MAINSTREAM PARTNERS. OUR POLICY STAFF UPLIFTS THE NATIVE EXPERIENCE AND TRIBAL PRIORITIES IN THESE NATIONAL SPACES, IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ORGANIZATIONS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN GROWING THEIR CAPACITY IN THIS AREA. MEMBERSHIP AND OUTREACH - OUR MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES 39 PROGRAMMATIC MEMBERSHIPS AND 114 INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS. WE PROVIDED MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS IN TRIBAL COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE STATE IN MAY, AUGUST, AND OCTOBER. WE HELD ONE VISIONING MEETING IN JANUARY WHERE MEMBERS, STAFF AND CIRCLE KEEPERS CONVENE TO SET THE PRIORITIES FOR THE YEAR. WE ALSO PROVIDED ONGOING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND OUTREACH THROUGH OUR EMAIL, LIST SERVE, TELEPHONE, AND SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLETS.
