GOLF IN SCHOOLS PROGRAM - THE NEW JERSEY GOLF FOUNDATION (THE "FOUNDATION") CONTACTS LOCAL SCHOOLS AND ASSISTS IN IMPLEMENTING GOLF IN THEIR PHYSICAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM AT ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVELS WITH THE IDEA OF USING GOLF AS A MEDIUM TO PROMOTE ACADEMIC AND HEALTH AWARENESS. TO DATE THE FOUNDATION HAS REACHED OVER 221 SCHOOLS WITH PARTICIPATION BY OVER 129,000 STUDENTS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO FOCUSES ON BRINGING THE GAME TO SPECIAL NEEDS YOUTH BY SPONSORING A GOLF PROGRAM AT THE SNAP AUTISTIC YOUTH CAMP AND THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS OF NEW JERSEY.
