TO PROMOTE THE ENJOYMENT AND INVOLVEMENT IN THE GAME OF GOLF AND TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE GROWTH OF THE GOLF PROFESSIONAL AND THE GOLF INDUSTRY. THE PHILADELPHIA SECTION WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION BY ENHANCING THE SKILLS OF GOLF PROFESSIONALS AND THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR AMATEURS, MANUFACTURERS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. AS A RESULT, THE PHILADELPHIA SECTION WILL ELEVATE THE STANDARDS OF THE PROFESSIONAL GOLFER'S VOCATION, STIMULATE INTEREST IN THE GAME OF GOLF, AND PROMOTE THE OVERALL VITALITY OF THE GAME.

TOURNAMENTS: AS PART OF PHILADELPHIA SECTION'S MISSION TO PROMOTE THE GAME OF GOLF, WE PROVIDE PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES FOR GOLF PROFESSIONALS AND AMATEURS ALIKE. THESE PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES ENCOURAGE MORE PARTICIPATION IN THE GAME OF GOLF BY PROMOTING THE GAME THROUGH ITS GRASS ROOTS EFFORTS IN THE PHILADELPHIA SECTION.
JUNIOR GOLF: THE PROGRAM CONSISTS OF THREE SEPARATE TOURS, THE JUNIOR TOUR, THE DEVELOPMENTAL TOUR AND THE GIRLS GOLF TOUR. EACH OFFERS THE BEST IN INSTRUCTION, COMPETITION AND EXPERIENCE FOR MEMBERS. THE DEVELOPMENTAL TOUR OPERATES SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUNGER JUNIORS, 6-9 YEAR OLDS, LOOKING TO GAIN EXPERIENCE AND LEARN SKILLS. THE PHILADELPHIA JUNIOR GOLF TOUR OFFERS COMPETITIVE TOURS FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 10-18. THE GIRLS GOLF TOUR OFFERS A STEPPING STONE PROGRAM FROM FIRST SWING TO COLLEGIATE GOLF, WITH GIRLS SWING CLINICS, THE GIRLS DEVELOPMENTAL TOUR, AND THE GIRLS GOLF TOUR, WHICH OFFERS A COMPETITIVE, SUPPORTIVE, AND SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE FOR GIRLS AGES 7-18, WITH BOTH 9 AND 18 HOLE DIVISIONS.
