5 CORE PRINCIPLES THAT GUIDE THE WORK ARE CULTURAL ROOTEDNESS, ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP, INTERGENERATIONAL EXCHANGE LIFELONG LEARNING AND HEALTH AND WELL BEING. MAJOR PROGRAMS IN 2020 WERE FEWER THAN PREVIOUS YEARS LARGELY DUE TO THE PANDEMIC WE WERE UNABLE TO HOST OUR COMMUNITY WORKDAYS, HOWEVER WE HOSTED SMALL GROUPS OF NATIVE HAWAIIANS AND VISITORS WHICH ACCOUNTED FOR 300 COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS WHILE ALSO CARING FOR 2 ANCIENT HAWAIIAN FISHPONDS AND THE 1.5 ACRE LOT ABUTTING ALII FISHPOND WHERE WE REMOVED OVER 15 TONS OF INVASIVE SEAWEED AND GROW NATIVE PLANTS AND FLORA.
