THE AQUA FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN SUPPORTED THE FACILITATION OF FAMILY CONNECTION IN THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA BY OFFERING EVENS SUCH AS THE ANNUAL FAMILY BBQ FOR LGBTQ FAMILIES. WE ALSO SUPPORTED THE HIGHER EDUCATION OF SEVERAL LGBTQ STUDENTS BY AWARDING 15,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO PAY A PORTION OF THEIR TUITION. THESE STUDENTS WERE PAIRED WITH MENTORS TO ENSURE THEIR COLLEGE EXPERIENCE WOULD BE SUPPORTED BY A MEMBER OF THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY TO LEAD AND GUIDE THEM IN BECOMING FUTURE LEADERS.
