THE OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE (1) TO FOSTER, PROMOTE, AND ENCOURAGE EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE FIELD OF BUSINESS AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT; (2) TO ASSIST BUSINESS SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES IN IDENTIFYING AND IMPLEMENTING PROJECTS TO IMPROVE CAPACITY TO PROVIDE BUSINESS EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR STUDENTS AND LOCAL BUSINESSES; (3) TO PROMOTE THE FREE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE IN BUSINESS EDUCATION BETWEEN PERSONS IN THE UNITED STATES AND OTHER DEVELOPED COUNTRIES AND PERSONS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES; AND (4) TO FACILITATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS AND MANAGERS TO GAIN PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT.

NETWORK SERVICES: WITH A GROWING NETWORK OF OVER 100 LEADING BUSINESS SCHOOLS ON 6 CONTINENTS, GBSN OFFERS PROGRAMS THAT IMPROVE MANAGEMENT EDUCATION FOR EMERGING ECONOMIES BY ENGAGING MEMBER BUSINESS SCHOOLS FROM AROUND THE WORLD. GBSN FOSTERS CROSS-BORDER NETWORKING, KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND COLLABORATION BOTH WITHIN THE NETWORK MEMBERSHIP AND WITH THE BROADER BUSINESS EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITIES. NEW AND EMERGING SCHOOLS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN OPEN EVENTS AROUND THE GLOBE AND PARTNER WITH GBSN TO BUILD CAPACITY. GBSN'S FOUNDING PURPOSE WAS TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT EDUCATION FOR THE DEVELOPING WORLD, AND THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS THAT MISSION TODAY. GBSN MEMBERSHIP PROVIDES EXCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP, NETWORKING AND ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADING BUSINESS SCHOOLS THAT SHARE GBSN'S MISSION. GBSN PARTNERS WITH VARIOUS INTERNATIONAL AND REGIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL ASSOCIATIONS ON PROGRAMS.


ADVISORY SERVICES: GBSN WORKS WITH A WIDE RANGE OF INSTITUTIONS, NOT JUST MEMBERS, TO FACILITATE INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION IN ALL DIRECTIONS BETWEEN EDUCATORS SO THAT SCHOOLS AT DIFFERENT STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT CAN LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER. THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH INDUSTRY, DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES, FOUNDATIONS, AND SCHOOLS. GBSN PROGRAMS BUILD LOCAL CAPACITY TO DELIVER QUALITY MANAGEMENT EDUCATION. PROGRAMS PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH STRATEGIC PLANNING, FACULTY DEVELOPMENT, PROGRAM DESIGN OR REVIEW. GBSN'S NETWORK APPROACH AND LOW MANAGEMENT COSTS PROVIDE A COST EFFECTIVE PLATFORM TO BUILD PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOLS IN LOW-INCOME COUNTRIES.
