TO FURTHER CONTRIBUTE BACK TO OUR COMMUNITIES, CIE/USA PARTNERED WITH THE LOCAL CIE/USA CHAPTERS AND DISCOVERETM TO EXCUTED A NEW INITIATIVE CALLED THE FUTURE ENGINEERS PROGRAM. AS FUTURE LEADERS ARE INFLUENCED AT A YOUNG AGE, THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM WAS TO COORDINATE AND PROMOTE STEM ACTIVITIES ACROSS THE US AMONG STUDENTS IN K-12 DURING THE DISCOVERE ENGINEERS WEEK. IN COLLABORATION WITH DISCOVERE, THE FUTURE ENGINEERS PROGRAM IS MEANT TO AMPLIFY THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY. PAST AAEOY AWARD RECIPIENTS WERE CALLED UPON TO ENGAGE IN FUTURE ENGINEERS GOING FORWARD. ACTIVITIES IN CONSIDERATION FOR THE FUTURE ENGINEERS PROGRAM INCLUDED: VEX ROBOTICS, FUTURE CITY COMPETITION, MATH COMPETITION, AND STEM 5-STAR CHALLENGE.
