COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY SERVICES: (TOTAL $21,287.87) PROVIDE SERVICES TO TWELVE KANSAS COUNTIES AND TWO MISSOURI COUNTIES AND IN REGIONS WHERE PARTNERS SERVE (WI, AZ, MN) IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF ASSISTANCE: RENTS AND MORTGAGES, UTILITIES: $15,039.29 EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT AND TRANSPORTATION: $4,986.58 FOOD, CLOTHING AND MEDICAL: $1,262 ACTIVITY'S OBJECTIVE IS TO REDUCE CRIME BY PROVIDING SERVICES FOR BASIC NEEDS AND EMPOWERMENT FOR HIGH RISK INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED
OUTREACH SERVICES FOR YOUTH AND ELDERLY: $4,141.36 OUTREACH INCLUDES CONNECTING YOUTH, SENIORS, INTERFAITH, MULTICULTURAL POPULATIONS, CAREGIVERS, MENTORS AND LEARNERS. FROM TENDING GARDENS TO PRODUCING VIDEOS TO ART FAIRS, COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES, CULTURAL ENGAGEMENT AND CAREGIVER SUPPORT. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES AFFORDABLE HOUSING THROUGH WINTER CENTER'S OWNERSHIP (LIMITED PARTNERSHIP-LP) OF AFFORDABLE AND RENT ASSISTED HOUSING COMPLEXES FOR SENIORS, FAMILIES IN RURAL AREAS (INCOME AND REGULATION GUIDELINES APPLY). IN ADDITION, AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO INCREASE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND BROADEN THE HORIZONS OF THE 'MATURE' CITIZENS OF RURAL KANSAS. IT ALSO ASSISTS CHILDREN WHO ARE IN THE CARE OF THEIR GRANDPARENTS.
RESTORATIVE JUSTICE SERVICES: RESTORATIVE JUSTICE IS A SYSTEMIC RESPONSE TO WRONG DOING THAT EMPHASIZES HEALING THE WOUNDS OF VICTIMS, OFFENDERS AND COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY CRIMINAL BEHAVIORS. WE IDENTIFY AND TAKE STEPS TO REPAIR HARM, INVOLVING ALL STAKEHOLDERS AND TRANSFORM THE TRADITIONAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN COMMUNITIES AND THE VICTIM IN THE JUSTICE PROCESS. OVERALL WE MENTORED MORE THAN 15 CASES STATEWIDE. WE CONSIDER COMMUNITY OUTREACH RESTORATIVE BY BRIDGING VARIED POPULATIONS THROUGH SHARED CONNECTION AND EXPERIENCE. OUTREACH IS LISTED ABOVE: OUTREACH ($4,141.36) INCLUDES CONNECTING YOUTH, SENIORS, INTERFAITH, MULTICULTURAL POPULATIONS, CAREGIVERS, MENTORS AND LEARNERS.
