LOOK UP MINISTRIES IS A COMMUNITY CENTER THAT SERVES THROUGH CHRIST CENTERED LOVE, EDUCATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT. PROGRAMS ASSIST IN MEETING PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS INCLUDING PROVIDING TEACHING, TRAINING AND SKILLS TO LIVE A CHRIST CONNECTED LIFE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

OPPORTUNITY STORE: RECEIVES, COLLECTS, SORTS AND DISPLAYS DONATIONS OF CLOTHING, FURNITURE, APPLIANCES AND HOUSEHOLD GOODS. THE STORE SELLS/GIVES AWAY ITEMS TO MEET NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. THE STORE IS OPERATED TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BUY AND GAIN OWNERSHIP OF ITEMS ALLOWING PEOPLE A STEP UP AT LOWER COSTS THAN THRIFT OR FOR PROFIT STORES. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO GET CLOTHING AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD BASIC NEEDS EACH YEAR. INCOME FROM SALES HELP PROVIDE A PORTION OF THE COST OF THE STORE.


TRADES PROGRAM:PROVIDES NCCER TRAINING, TESTING AND INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION FOR BASIC CONSTRUCTION SKILLS. DAY-ONE-READY ELECTRICIAN TRAINING PROVIDED. OSHA 10 SAFETY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION ARE INCLUDED. FORK TRUCK DRIVING CERTIFICATION IS ALSO INCLUDED. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, STRESS MANAGEMENT, EXERCISE AND DIET. TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP IN VARIOUS LIFE SKILLS IS PROVIDED IN A CHRIST FOCUSED ENVIRONMENT.


COMMUNITY SERVICE: THIS PROGRAM ENCOMPASSES A NUMBER OF SERVICES TO MEET NEEDS INCLUDING PROVIDING ESSENTIALS. IT GAVE FREE COATS, THANKSGIVING MEALS, CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR KIDS, CRAFT TRAINING, BIBLE STUDIES, MOVIES AND OTHER EVENTS. IN 2023 A NETWORK WAS ESTABLISHED FOR BLIND PROVIDING INFORMATION AND EDUCATION ON HOW TO USE TECHNOLOGY TO OVERCOME SOME OF THE BARRIERS OF THE BLIND.
