THE FOUNDATIONS MISSION IS TO PRESERVE NEBRASKAS FIREFIGHTING HERITAGE, FOSTER PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF FIREFIGHTING, EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS ABOUT FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY, AND MEMORIALIZE NEBRASKA FIREFIGHTERS.

NEBRASKA FIREFIGHTERS EDUCATION AND HISTORICAL CENTER AND COMMEMORATIVE GARDENS PROJECT - THE ORGANIZATION OPENED ITS MUSEUM, EDUCATIONAL VENUE, HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL PRESERVATION CENTER AND MEMORIAL TO NEBRASKA FIREFIGHTERS IN 2009. THE ORGANIZATIONS OPERATIONS INVOLVED OPERATING A MUSEUM, SOLICITING MEMORABILIA DONATIONS FOR DISPLAYS, CONDUCTING FUNDRAISING EVENTS AND SOLICITING CASH CONTRIBUTIONS TO SEEK FUNDS NECESSARY TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN THE BUILDING AND GROUND IMPROVEMENTS AND FOR THE ACQUISITION AND RENOVATION OF ANTIQUE FIRE EQUIPMENT DISPLAYS.
