THE CHARITY ADDRESSES THE ISSUES OF HUNGER, HOMELESSNESS, HEALTH CARE AND CLOTHING FOR EQUINE WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE "TACK ROOM" PROGRAM STOCKS FOOD, HOUSEHOLD AND HYGIENE SUPPLIES, SEASON APPROPRIATE CLOTHING, AND OFFERS EMERGENCY FINANCIAL AID FOR UTILITIES, GAS, HOUSING, AND MEDICAL CARE. THE CHARITY ALSO DELIVERS ON A WEEKLY BASIS FREE FRESH FRUITS AND PERISHABLE FOODS DIRECTLY TO THE FARM WORKERS. HEALTH CLINICS ARE OFFERED ON A ROTATING BASIS.
THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY CELEBRATION IS AN ANNUAL EVENT THAT MAKES SURE EVERY FARM WORKER CHILD CAN EXPERIENCE THE JOY OF RECEIVING DURING THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. THE HOLIDAY CELEBRATION PROVIDES NOT ONLY A PLACE WHERE FARM WORKER FAMILIES FROM DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, FARMS AND TRAINING CENTERS COME TOGETHER TO SHARE A HOT HOLIDAY MEAL, BUT IT IS ALSO FULFILLMENT OF A HAPPY CHRISTMAS FOR CHILDREN, WITH VISITS WITH SANTA CLAUS, AS WELL AS NEW TOYS AND SPECIAL GIFTS FOR EVERY CHILD.
THE CHARITY PROVIDES BACK-TO-SCHOOL BACKPACKS STUFFED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR FARM WORKER FAMILY CHILDREN IN GRADES K-5. VOLUNTEERS DELIVER THE BACKPACKS FOR THE WORKER CHILDREN TO THE INDIVIDUAL FARMS, AND EACH YEAR THE NUMBER OF BACKPACKS HAS GROWN.
