THE MISSION OF THE NATIONAL AUTISM ASSOCIATION IS TO RESPOND TO THE MOST URGENT NEEDS OF THE AUTISM COMMUNITY, PROVIDE REAL HELP AND HOPE SO THAT ALL AFFECTED CAN REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.

IN 2021, NAA CONTINUED IT'S PUBLIC AWARENESS EFFORTS BT CONTINUING TO BUILD AN EXTENSIVE SOCIAL NETWORKING CAMPAIGN PROVIDING VITAL INFORMATION, SUPPORT, AND RESOURCES TO THE AUTISM COMMUNITY AND GENERAL PUBLIC. THEIR "GIVE A VOICE" PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSISTIVE COMMUNICATION DEVICES TO NON-VERBAL OR MINIMALLY VERBAL INDIVIDUALS. NAA ALSO ASSISTS WITH PERSONAL SAFETY AND CONTINUES TO DISTRIBUTE BIG RED SAFETY BOXES CONTAINING MATERIALS TO HELP PREVENT DANGEROUS WANDERING AND ELOPEMENT INCIDENTS TO FAMILIES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES FREE OF CHARGE. NAA ALSO PROVIDED SAFETY TRAINING TO CAREGIVERS, SOCIAL WORKERS, AND FIRST RESPONDERS. THEY CONTINUE TO OFFER INFORMATION AND SUPPORT THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE AND TOLL-FREE LINE. NAA CONTINUES TO HOST WEBINARS WITH EXPERTS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS FREE OF CHARGE FOR FAMILIES AMD PROFESSIONALS.
