WISCONSIN HOSPITAL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES HEATHCARE SYSTEM PREPAREDNESS, MEDICAL SURGE, INFORMATION SHARING, FATALITY MANAGMENT AND EXERCISE DESIGN TRAINING. HEALTH CARE SYSTEM PREPAREDNESS INCLUDES THE ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES TO SUPPORT AND STRENGTHEN THE COORDINATION OF RESOURCES THAT ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY AND HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS ABILITY TO PLAN, PREPARE, RESPOND TO AND RECOVER FROM SHORT OR LONG DURATION INCIDENTS THAT HAVE PUBLIC HEALTH AND MEDICAL IMPACTS. MEDICAL SURGE IS THE PLANNING AND COORDINATION WITH OTHER REPONSE AGENCIES TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE PRE-HOSPITAL AND HOSPITAL MEDICAL EVALUATION DURING AN ALL HAZARDS INCIDENT THAT EXCCEDS THE LIMITS OF THE NORMAL MEDICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
