WATER TOWERS - APPROXIMATELY 23,000 CHILDREN DIE EACH YEAR IN UNGANDA FROM UNSANITARY DRINKING WATER. TO OBTAIN SAFE DRINKING WATER, MANY CHILDREN WALK SEVERAL MILES EVERY DAY BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL. OFTEN, CHILDREN DO NOT EVEN ATTEND SCHOOL BECAUSE THEY SPEND THE DAY COLLECTING WATER FOR THEIR FAMILIES. MAJOR SOURCES OF WATER FOR MOST PEOPLE ARE BACTERIA INFESTED SWAMPS. USING THIS WATER LEADS TO DEADLY WATER-BOURNE DISEASES SUCH AS TYPHOID AND CHOLERA. THANKS TO THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF ACTS 1:8 MINISTRYS PARTNERS AND FRIENDS, THE 108TH TOWER HAS BEEN COMPLETED IN UGANDA. THESE WATER TOWERS PROVIDE A SAFE, CLEAN AND CONVINIENT SOURCE FOR VILLAGES IN UNGANDA.
