EARLY CHILDHOOD- CONSISTS OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE CACFP (CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM), TRAINING AND SUPPORT FOR FAMILY DAY CARE PROVIDERS, AND PRESCHOOL EDUCATION. SERVES 69 HOME CHILD CARE PROVIDERS CARING FOR 682 CHILDREN.
YOUTH ACTIVITIES- CONSISTS OF BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOL-AGED YOUTH, LEADERSHIP AND EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS FOR TEENS. THESE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO PREPARE YOUTH FOR COLLEGE, WORK AND LIFE. APPROXIMATELY 262 SERVED.
FAMILY SERVICES- INDIVIDUALS ARE REQUIRED TO MEET SPECIFIC ESTABLISHED CRITERIA BASED ON HOUSEHOLD INCOME, NUMBER OF DEPENDANTS AND LOCATION. DECISIONS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS ARE THEN DETERMINED BY CASE WORKERS OR FAMILY SERVICES UNIT EMPLOYEES. STARTING IN 2020, THE AGENCY STARTED RECEIVING REFERRALS FROM THE 211 HOTLINE FOR RENTAL ASSISTANCE THROUGH FUNDING FROM THE COUNTY. ONCE THE AGENCY RECEIVES THE REFERRAL, CASE WORKERS WORK WITH THE TENANT AND LANDLORD TO ENSURE THE CLIENT MEETS THE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS BEFORE RECEIVING RENTAL ASSISTANCE. APPROXIMATELY 871 FAMILIES SERVED.
