IN 2023 THE POESTENKILL LIBRARY WAS OPEN 30 HOURS EACH WEEK. THE LIBRARY HAD 9427 VISITS BY 883 REGISTERED PATRONS. 15764 ITEMS WERE BORROWED. THERE WERE 142 VARIOUS PUBLIC PROGRAMS, SUCH AS WINTER AND SUMMER READING PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS, PROGRAMS THAT OFFERED INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT WERE HELD.1817 PARTICIPANTS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THESE PROGRAMS. AS A MEMBER OF THE UPPER HUDSON LIBRARY SYSTEM THE POESTENKILL LIBRARY PARTICIPATES IN AN INTERLIBRARY LOAN SYSTEM. THROUGH THIS SYSTEM 4287 ITEM WERE REQUESTED AND RECEIVED AND THE LIBRARY DISPATCHED 5386 ITEMS TO MEMBERS OF THE UPPER HUDSON LIBRARY SYSTEM.
