THE TRI-TOWN UNITED SOCCER CLUB, INC. IS A HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAM COMPOSED OF 16 TEAMS, FOR BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 8-19, WHO WANT TO PLAY AT A LEVEL HIGHER THAN THAT OF TRADITIONAL HOUSE LEAGUE SOCCER, WITH ONE GAME PER WEEK, FROM MID-MAY TO EARLY AUGUST, INCLUDING TRAVELING TO NEIGHBORING TOWNS TO COMPETE AGAINST THEIR CLUB TEAMS, AND VICE VERSA.OUR HOME FIELDS ARE A 7 FIELD COMPLEX LOCATED AT 7100 SENECA ST. IN ELMA, WITH THE COMPLEX OWNED BY THE EMW SOCCER FIELD DEVELOPMENT CLUB, INC. TRI-TOWN PAYS AN ANNUAL FEE TO AND PROVIDES IN KIND SERVICES FOR THE EMW CLUB, INCLUDING FIELD AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE, AND VOLUNTEER STAFFING OF A SNACK BAR, TO FINANCE OUR USAGE OF THE FIELDS AND CLUBHOUSE, AS WELL AS THE NEW IN SPRING 2017 PERMANENT STRUCTURE OUTDOOR LAVATORY AND WASHROOM FACILITY. FROM MID APRIL TO EARLY AUGUST, TRI-TOWN USES THE FIELDS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 5PM TO DUSK, FOR PRACTICES AND GAMES, AND OCCASIONALLY ON SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS. THOUGH ABOUT 90% OF OUR PLAYER PARTICIPANTS RESIDE AND ATTEND SCHOOL IN THE LOCAL TOWNS OF AURORA, ELMA, MARILLA & WALES, WE ARE ABOUT TO ENTER OUR THIRD SEASON IN WHICH WE HAVE EXPANDED OUR REGISTRATION TO BE OPEN TO ANY YOUTH IN THE LARGER WESTERN NEW YORK REGION. OUR COACHES WILL IN THE FALL OF 2017 ALL BE MANDATED, PER NYSWYSA & BWNYJSL (OUR EXTERNAL GOVERNING BODY AND LEAGUE, RESPECTIVELY) NEW REQUIREMENTS, TO ATTEND AND OBTAIN AT MINIMUM THE NYS E LEVEL COACHING CERTIFICATION. ATTENDANCE AT THIS APPROX. 4 HOUR SESSION IS MEANT TO ENSURE A COMMON AND BASIC LEVEL OF YOUTH SOCCER COACHING KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCE, COMFORT, AND SKILL. OUR COACHES ARE ALSO ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND ADDITIONAL LICENSING SESSIONS AS THEY ADVANCE IN YEARS OF COACHING AND IN AGE GROUPS. THE TRI-TOWN ORANIZATON ALSO PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPANDED PRE-SEASON INTERNAL COACHING INSTRUCTON, AS WELL AS SUBSIDIZING TEAMS WHO CHOOSE TO ENTER FALL, WINTER, OR SPRING INDOOR LEAGUES AT THE SAHLENS INDOOR SPORTS COMPLEX, ALSO AT 7100 SENECA ST. IN ELMA. TRI-TOWN ALSO SUBSIDIZES INDOOR TRAINING TIME AND ENCOURAGES TEAMS TO PLAY IN LOCAL TOURNAMENTS, BOTH INDOOR AND WHEN THE OUTDOOR SEASON ARRIVES. TRI-TOWN ADDED A VOLUNTEER DIRECTOR OF YOUTH SOCCER COACHING IN SPRING 2017. CHRIS GRIFFITHS IS A LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE GRADUATE, PLAYED SOCCER IN COLLEGE AND ON A SEMI-PROFESSIONAL TEAM, HAS ATTAINED HIS A COACHING CERTIFICATE, AND CONTINUES TO TEACH AND COACH FULL TIME AT THE ADJACENT SAHLENS FACILITY, FOR ADVANCE YOUTH TEAMS, AS WELL AS ASSISTING WITH THE SAHLENS SPONSORED WOMANS PROFESSIONAL TEAM. OUR COACHES, OUR BOARD MEMBERS, AND OUR SNACK BAR, EQUIPMENT, UNIFORM, FIELD MAINTENANCE AND FUNDRAISING PERSONNEL ARE 100% VOLUNTEER.
