ACUTE - CANTON-POTSDAM HOSPITAL HAS A TOTAL OF 94 LICENSED BEDS, COMPRISED OF 17 FOR CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY REHABILITATION, 6 FOR INTENSIVE CARE, 8 FOR MATERNITY AND 63 FOR MEDICAL/SURGICAL. PROFESSIONAL STAFF COVERAGE FOR OUR IN-PATIENT CENSUS IS PROVIDED BY A HOSPITALIST PROGRAM. TOTAL PATIENT DAYS INCREASED BY 25.94% FROM 2020 TO 2021. OBSERVATION CASES DECREASED BY 16.19% FROM 2020 TO 2021. EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS INCREASED BY 0.05%. OVERALL VOLUME INCREASES ARE DUE TO REDUCTION OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS IN 2021.
