OUR VOLUNTEER-DELIVERED, EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAMS GIVE STUDENTS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN FINANCIAL LITERACY, WORK READINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT HELPS TO ENHANCE THE RELEVANCE OF STUDENTS' CLASSROOM LEARNING AND INCREASE THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE VALUE OF STAYING IN SCHOOL.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAM HELPS STUDENTS IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE TO LEARN THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS AND HOW EDUCATION IS RELEVANT TO THE WORKPLACE. THE SEQUENTIAL ACTIVITIES BUILD ON STUDIES FROM EACH PRECEDING GRADE AND PREPARE STUDENTS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL AND LIFELONG LEARNING. THE PROGRAM IS TAUGHT BY A VOLUNTEER CONSULTANT FROM THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY.


THE MIDDLE GRADES PROGRAM HELPS STUDENTS IN GRADES SIXTH THROUGH EIGHTH BUILD ON CONCEPTS THE STUDENTS LEARNED IN JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT'S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAM AND REINFORCES THE VALUE OF WORKFORCE READINESS, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND FINANCIAL LITERACY. STUDENTS ARE INTRODUCED TO MANY ECONOMIC CONCEPTS AND USEFUL FACTS ABOUT THE WORKING WORLD. THE PROGRAM IS TAUGHT BY A VOLUNTEER CONSULTANT FROM THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY.


THE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM TEACHES STUDENTS FROM NINTH THROUGH TWELFTH GRADE ABOUT CONCEPTS RELATING TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP, FINANCIAL LITERACY, AND WORK READINESS. THE VOLUNTEERS BRING REAL- LIFE BUSINESS EXPERIENCE AND GUIDANCE INTO THE CLASSROOM AT A TIME THAT REPRESENTS AN ESSENTIAL CROSSROADS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. THE PROGRAM IS TAUGHT BY A VOLUNTEER CONSULTANT FROM THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY.


JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT RECEIVES DONATIONS OF MATERIALS, SERVICES, AND EQUIPMENT FROM VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS. THE CURRICULUM IS DELIVERED BY VOLUNTEERS FROM THE COMMUNITY WHO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE REAL WORLD AND THE VALUE OF CONTRIBUTING TO THEIR COMMUNITY.
