ART HOUSE PROVIDES A HOME FOR INNOVATIVE PERFORMING, VISUAL, & LITERARY ARTISTS TO DEVELOP NEW WORK; PRESENTS EMERGING & UNDER RECOGNIZED ARTISTS WHO ARE MAKING SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR FIELDS, & SERVES AS A SPACE FOR ESTABLISHED ARTISTS TO TAKE CREATIVE RISKS.

ART HOUSE WAS ABLE TO SERVE ARTISTS AND AUDIENCES DURING THE PANDEMIC WITHA VIRTUAL PRESENTATION OF JC FRIDAYS. EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD IN JERSEY CITY WAS REPRESENTED THROUGH ZOOM PRESENTATIONS. SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION AND CAPTIONING WERE UNDERWRITTEN BWITH A GRANT. PROGRAM SUBMISSION FEES FROM PRESENTERS HELPED COVER THE PROGRAM'S COSTS AND ALLOWED AUDIENCES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM FOR FREE OF CHARGE. JC FRIDAYS OCCURED FOUR TIMES IN 2021.
INKUBATOR IS AN ART HOUSE PROGRAM DEDICATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ORIGINAL PLAYS. NEW PLAY FESTIVAL WAS HELD AND PRESENTED VIRTUALLY IN THE SPRING. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC BOTH 2019-2020 AND 2020-2021 PLAYWRITE COHORTS WERE COMBINED, AND THEIR PLAYS WERE PRESENTED VIA ZOOM STAGE READINGS. A GRANT HELPED TO PARTIALLY COVER THE COSTS OF THE FESTIVAL.
ART HOUSE ACCEPTED AN OPPORTUNITY TO COLLABORATE WITH ANOTHER ENTITY TO PRODUCE A WEEKEND IN-PERSON, VISUAL ART FAIR. THE FAIR FEATURED ARTISTS BASED IN JERSEY CITY AND PROVIDED A PLATFORM FOR THEIR WORK TO BE SEEN BY AUDIENCES FROM NJ AND THE GREATER NY AREA. ADMISSIONS, SUBMISSION FEES AND SPONSORSHIPS WERE PRIMARY FUNDING SOURCES FOR THE EVENT. THE EVENT OCCURRED IN NOVEMBER 2021.
