THE WELLNESS PROGRAM SERVES THE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL NEEDS OF WOMEN WHOSE HEALTH IS AT RISK. 1,735 WOMEN WERE IMPACTED THROUGH 19 PROJECTS IN 8 DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. THE PROJECTS IN 2021 INCLUDED MATERNAL HEALTHCARE, AIDS CARE AND PREVENTION, FISTULA REPAIR, CATARACT SURGERY, ESCAPE AND RECOVERY FROM FORCED PROSTITUTION, RAPE, ARMED VIOLENCE, AND OTHER SEVERE ABUSIVE SITUATIONS.
THE EDUCATION PROGRAM SERVES THE LITERACY NEEDS OF ILLITERATE WOMEN. ADDITIONALLY, WE OFFER VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL TRAINING. 1,846 WOMEN WERE SERVED THROUGH THE SOWHOPE EDUCATION PROGRAM IN 2021. THIS INCLUDED 5 PROJECTS IN 5 DEVELOPING NATIONS.
THE ECONOMIC PROGRAM SERVES TO PROVIDE ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT THROUGH MICROFINANCE AND SMALL BUSINESS TRAINING. 2,550 WOMEN WERE SERVED THROUGH THE SOWHOPE ECONOMIC PROGRAM IN 2021 INCLUDING FUNDING FOR 3 PROJECTS IN THREE DEVELOPING NATIONS.
