THE ST VINCENT DEPAUKL YOUTH AT RISK SCHOLARSHIPS COMPISE OF A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN BETWEEN NCCA, INC AND THE ST VINCENT DEPAUL FOUNDATION TO FUND HIGH POTENTIOAL STUDENT LEADERS WHO NOT ONLY HAVE DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED , BUT A PROVEN TRACK RECORD IN SERVICE PROJECTS. THESE STUDENTS ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE AND "AT RISK"OF SUCCUMBING TO ON-GOING CHALLENGES THAT COULD SIDELINE THEIR POST HS EDUCATION SUCH AS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE,INCARCERATION TO NAME A FEW TEN RECIPIENTS WERE AWARDED THE SVDY SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2020
THE NCCA STUDENT AT RISK SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO HIGH ACHIEVING, COMMUNITY-FOCUSED STUDENTS WHO ARE GRADUATING HS SENIORS OR COLLEGE ENROLLED STUDENTS TO ASSIST THEM IN THEIR PURSUITS OF HIGHER EDUCATION THESE STUDENTS POSSESS ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS THAT PUT THEM "AT RISK"OF NOT BEING ABLE ENTER A POST SECONDARY INSTITUTION OR CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION: FINANCIAL NEED, UNDOCUMENTED STATUS, INCARCERATION, UNEMPLOYMENT ETC.
