THE MISSION OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NEPHROLOGY TECHNOLOGISTS (NANT) IS TO PROMOTE THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF CARE FOR CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE (CKD) PATIENTS THROUGH EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONALISM. NANT'S GOALS ARE TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE TECHNICAL PRACTITIONER AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE INTEGRATED CARE TEAM, REPRESENT THE TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL IN THE REGULATORY AND LEGISLATIVE ARENA, ACHIEVE RECOGNITION FOR THE ROLE AND SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION OF THE TECHNICAL PRACTITIONER TO THE TOTAL CARE OF THE CKD PATIENT, DEVELOP TECHNICAL PROFESSIONALS FOR LEADERSHIP ROLES AND TO SERVE AS A RESOURCE FOR THE CKD COMMUNITY TO ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS.

THE ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM AND OTHER MEETINGS ARE RESOURCES FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THE TRENDS FOR TODAY'S DIALYSIS TECHNICIANS. PROFESSIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION CONTACT HOURS CAN BE EARNED BY ATTENDING CERTAIN SESSIONS. IN ADDITION, OTHER MEETINGS AND EXPENSES ARE NECESSARY TO PLAN FOR FUTURE PROGRAMS AND TO ASSESS PRESENT PROGRAM ACTIVITIES. MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS INCLUDE A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER, SUBSCRIPTIONS TO INDUSTRY PUBLICATIONS, AND DISCOUNTED REGISTRATION FEES FOR THE NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM, REGIONAL MEETINGS, WORKSHOPS, AND WEBINARS.
