LAKESIDE HOUSE PROVIDES A SAFE HOME AND A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY TO PEOPLE EXPERIENCING CHALLENGES MAINTAINING MENTAL HEALTH AND A STABLE LIVING ENVIRONMENT. THROUGH RESIDENTIAL SERVICES, SUPPORTIVE HOUSING CASE MANAGEMENT, AND TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS WE HELP PEOPLE IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE, INTEGRATE INTO THE COMMUNITY, AND ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE.

LAKESIDE HOUSE COMMUNITY RESIDENCE SERVED 16 DISTINCT INDIVIDUALS DURING THE 2022 YEAR. 6 INDIVIDUALS WERE DISCHARGED AFTER COMPLETING THEIR GOALS AND 6 WERE ADMITTED. OCCUPANCY FOR LSH CR WAS 95% FOR 2022. LAKESIDE HOUSE COMMUNITY RESIDENCE LOOKS FORWARD TO OMH APPROVAL TO MAKE NECESSARY CHANGES TO ITS PHYSICAL STRUCTURE TO MEET ADA COMPLIANCE. WE ARE CURRENTLY AWAITING APPROVAL TO BID THE JOB OUT.


ANOTHER'S PURPOSE AND CSS IN 2022, WE WERE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY MEET THE NEEDS OF THE RESIDENTS AT LAKESIDE HOUSE BY HELPING TO VOLUNTEER AT THE LOCAL DOG CLUB AND COMMUNITY LUNCH BOX. RESIDENTS WENT ON OUTINGS TO LOCAL MUSIC CONCERTS, BASEBALL GAMES, AND NATURE WALKS. RESIDENTS ALSO HAD WEEKLY ACTIVITES SUCH AS CARD GAMES, BINGO, BOARD GAMES AND WII BOWLING. STAFF ALONG WITH RESIDENTS ALSO PREPARED VARIOUS LUNCHES AND BREAKFASTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR CINCO DE MAYO, ST. PATRICK'S DAY, ETC. CSS SERVED 3 PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF OUR OTHER PROGRAMS. WE PROVIDE WEEKLY CHECK INS, TRANSPORTATION FOR BANKING AND MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS.


THE LSH SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM CONTINUES PROVIDING ONGOING ASSISTANCE TO 9 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE 2022 YEAR. THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST RESIDENTS TO MAINTAIN HOUSING. SERVICES INCLUDE RENTAL ASSISTANCE AS NEEDED TO START AND VISITS 1 TIME A WEEK, SOMETIMES MORE, TO ASSIST WITH PAYING BILLS, FURNISHINGS FOR APARTMENT, ETC.


SAMARITAN HOUSE IS AN 8 BED HOME, SERVING HOMELESS PEOPLE PRIMARILY FROM FRANKLIN AND ESSEX COUNTIES. SAMARITAN HOUSE PROVIDES SERVICES TO ASSIST PEOPLE WITH SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS, BANKING, JOB EMPLOYMENT AND WORKS WITH AGENCIES SUCH AS ESSEX CO. DSS, FRANKLIN CO. DSS, ECUMENICAL COUNCIL, SALVATION ARMY, AND OTHER RELIGIOUS DENOMINATION AFFILIATIONS.
