THE G & R LOEB FOUNDATION, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ANDERSON SCHOOL AT UCLA, OVERSEES THE SUBMISSION, PROCESSING AND JUDGING OF ENTRIES FOR TWELVE AWARDS FOR DISTINGUISHED JOURNALISM (PRINT, BROADCAST AND ONLINE FORMATS), PLUS TWO CAREER ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS. THE JUDGING IS DONE BY A PANEL OF INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING FACULTY MEMBERS OF THE ANDERSON SCHOOL OF UCLA. THE DEAN OF THE ANDERSON SCHOOL SERVES AS CHAIRMAN OF THE FINAL JUDGING PANEL. SEE STATEMENT 14 FOR AWARD AND QUALIFICATION DETAILS.
THE G & R LOEB FOUNDATION ORGANIZES AND CONDUCTS AN ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET FOR THE WINNERS OF THE DISTINGUISHED JOURNALISM AWARDS IN PRINT, BROADCAST, ONLINE AND CAREER ACHIEVEMENT. AWARD WINNERS ARE HONORED IN FOURTEEN CATEGORIES AND SOME PARTICIPANTS MAY BE SELECTED AND RECOGNIZED FOR HONORABLE MENTION.
