DAILY WORK'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AND MENTORING SO JOB SEEKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES CAN THRIVE, CREATING A COMMUNITY WHERE EVERYONE CAN WORK, GROW, AND CONTRIBUTE OUR HOLISTIC SUPPORT PROGRAM INCLUDES: 1) ONE-ON-ONE HOLISTIC CASE MANAGEMENT THAT SUPPORTS PEOPLE IN OBTAINING EMPLOYMENT AND ADDRESSING NEEDS THAT IMPACT EMPLOYMENT AND QUALITY OF LIFE; 2) TRAINING AND COMMUNITY BUILDING FOR VOLUNTEER AND INTERN CASE MANAGERS TO EQUIP THEM TO PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT AND TO BUILD EMPATHY AND CROSS-CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING; 3) EMPLOYER ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT SYSTEMIC JOB BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT AND CO-CREATE MORE EQUITABLE EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES; 4) VOLUNTEER TECH SUPPORT INCLUDING EQUIPMENT DELIVERY AND TRAINING ON BASIC SKILLS.

IN 2021, 78% OF JOB SEEKERS WE SUPPORTED WERE IMMIGRANTS; 86% IDENTIFIED AS BIPOC; 66% WERE ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS; 52% WERE UNEMPLOYED AT INTAKE; SIX PERCENT WERE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. WE ARE ONE OF THE ONLY EMPLOYMENT SERVICE PROVIDERS FOCUSED ON SERVING IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES AND HAVE ESTABLISHED STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH IMMIGRATION ORGANIZATIONS TO RECEIVE REFERRALS.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:1. PROVIDED 1,532 INDIVIDUAL SERVICE VISITS TO 140 JOB SEEKERS, AN AVERAGE OF 30 APPOINTMENTS PER WEEK.2. 85 PERCENT OF JOB SEEKERS WHO CAME REGULARLY TO DAILY WORK (THREE OR MORE APPOINTMENTS) FOUND NEW WORK THAT EARNED AN AVERAGE WAGE OF $15.94/HOUR.3. TRAINED AND SUPPORTED 12 STUDENT INTERNS AND 6 VOLUNTEER CASE MANAGERS.4. PROVIDED 11 PEOPLE WITH TECI LAPTOP COMPUTERS AND IN-HOME SET-UP.
