SINCE JANUARY 2021, AS A FOLLOW-UP TO THE MN EQUITY BLUEPRINT, G & J HAS BEEN DEVELOPING THE MN EQUITY MAP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MN-MORRIS, CENTER FOR SMALL TOWNS. THE MAP IS A PLATFORM TO HELP GEOGRAPHICALLY PINPOINT AND NARRATIVELY SHARE THE VITAL WORK DONE BY COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO FOSTER REGIONAL, RACIAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL EQUITY. IT ENCOURAGES AND AIDS IDEA-SHARING AND COOPERATION BETWEEN COMMUNITIES AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO WANT TO HELP IMPROVE THEIR COMMUNITIES. IN A 2021 REPORT, THE BROOKINGS INSTITUTE LAUDED THE MN EQUITY BLUEPRINT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROCESS AS A NATIONAL BEST PRACTICE FOR PROMOTING COLLABORATION AND RESILIENCE, STATE RESILIENCE AND RECOVERY: STRATEGIES TO REDUCE INEQUALITY AND PROMOTE PROSPERITY BY CREATING BETTER PLACES.
