REHABILITATION OF BUILDINGS:UHAB HOUSING DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (UHAB HDFC) HAS SERVED AS INTERIM OWNER FOR MANY OF UHAB'S DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. UHAB INC, PROVIDES DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO UHAB HDFC THAT HAS BEEN TRANSFORMING 98 DISTRESSED BUILDINGS INTO ABOUT 2,000 RENOVATED AFFORDABLE CO-OP AND RENTAL APARTMENTS UHAB FACILITATED OVER $250 MILLION IN DEVELOPMENT FINANCING, PROVIDED THE RENOVATION MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE, AND PERFORMED THE COOPERATIVE CONVERSION LEGAL WORK THAT IS ALL CENTRAL TO THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THIS REVITALIZED HOUSING. IN FY2021, UHAB HDFC WAS INTERIM OWNER OF 17 APARTMENTS IN MANHATTAN LOWER EAST SIDE THAT WERE CONVERTED INTO AFFORDABLE HDFC'S FOR LOW- TO MEDIUM- INCOME RESIDENTS"
