THE WESTCHESTER-PUTNAM YOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PROVIDES 85 YOUNG MUSICIANS WITH A PLACE TO MEET, SOCIALIZE AND PERFORM QUALITY MUSIC WITH THEIR PEERS. THE ORCHESTRA PERFORMS TWO FORMAL CONCERTS PER YEAR, AS WELL AS SEVERAL CONCERTS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. THE ORCHESTRA TRAVELS TO INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS EVERY FOUR YEARS AND PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FESTIVALS.
