IN 2021, WITH COVID STILL A THREAT, MOST TTN PROGRAMS CONTINUED TO BE HELD VIRTUALLY VIA ZOOM. CHAPTERS GOT TOGETHER IN PERSON IN OUTSIDE VENUES DURING WARM WEATHER. TTN MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR COMMUNITIES IN MANY WAYS. THEY COORDINATE FUNDRASING ACTIVITIES TO SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS PEOPLE'S EMERGENCY CENTER, ISLAND HARVEST, CAREER WARDROBE, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, ATLANTA HOSPITAL HOSPITALITY HOUSE, MANNA AND PHILABUNDANCE. MEMBERS ACCOMPANY EACH OTHER TO DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS, SHARE REFERRAL INFORMATION, AND PROVIDE GROCERIES OR PICK UP MEDICATIONS DURING TIMES OF NEED. TTN CONTINUES TO DEVELOP ITS "SIGNATURE WORKSHOPS." THESE WORKSHOPS ARE DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY TO SUPPORT WOMEN IN TRANSITION. TTN CURRENTLY HAS TWO SIGNATURE PROGRAMS: (1) OUR "WOMEN IN TRANSITION" WORKSHOP PROVIDES INFORMATION ABOUT THE NATURE OF TRANSITIONS AND SUPPORTS PARTICIPANTS IN CREATING A PLAN FOR THEIR FUTURES, AND (2) OUR "ON RESILIENCE" WORKSHOP COVERS THE FUNDAMENTALS OF STRENGTHENING RESILIENCE, FOLLOWED BY CONVERSATIONS THAT GO MORE DEEPLY INTO DEVELOPING THESE ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS. THE TRANSITION NETWORK IS AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN THE INDUSTRY OF POSITIVE AGING. IT ENGAGES WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS FOCUSED ON THIS DEMOGRAPHIC GROUP TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY. TTN'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND BOARD MEMBERS ARE REGULARLY INTERVIEWED AND INVITED TO BE GUEST SPEAKERS ON THE TOPICS OF LIFE TRANSITIONS, AGEISM AND OTHER ISSUES SPECIFICALLY RELEVANT TO WOMEN.
