THE ORGANIZATION ("WBEC")HOLDS EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS FOR WOMEN- OWNED BUSINESSES IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND NEW MARKETS. AS A RESULT OF THE PANDEMIC ALL PROGRAMS WERE DELIVERED VIRTUALLY. EACH YEAR, WBEC HOLDS WEEKLY AND MONTHLY EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS IN THE DC REGION SERVING APPROXIMATELY 3,000 ATTENDEES. WBEC ALSO HELD WEEKLY AND MONTHLY SEMINARS/WORKSHOPS IN THE NEW YORK REGION SERVING APPROXIMATELY 4,000 ATTENDEES. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED TO OFFER THE SAGE ADVICE PROGRAM, SERVING 25 WOMEN IN START-UP AND YOUNG BUSINESS PHASES WHO NEED TO LEARN SKILLS AROUND BUDGETING, INSURANCE, SALES AND MARKETING, AND BUSINESS PLANNING.
