END OF LIFE CHOICES NEW YORK SEEKS TO EXPAND CHOICE AT THE END OF LIFE RESPECTING EVERY INDIVIDUAL'S WISHES AND STRIVING FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE QUALITY OF LIFE AND PEACEFUL DEATH.

END OF LIFE CHOICES NEW YORK (EOLCNY) ENGAGES IN A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL AND OUTREACH EFFORTS TO INFORM THE PUBLIC ABOUT END OF LIFE OPTIONS. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, EOLCNY COORDINATED OVER 25 WEBINARS AND LECTURES ON END OF LIFE ISSUES, PALLIATIVE CARE, PAIN MANAGEMENT, ADVANCE DIRECTIVES, PATIENT RIGHTS, AND MEDICAL AID IN DYING, TO PROFESSIONALS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. WE OFFERED PROGRAMS IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. THESE PROGRAMS WERE ATTENDED BY OVER 400 PARTICIPANTS. WE DISTRIBUTED NUMEROUS EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND CREATED 11 EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS THAT HAD OVER 2,500 VIEWS. WE PROVIDED CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS TO NEW YORK STATE LICENSED SOCIAL WORKERS. WE ALSO PRODUCED A BIMONHLY ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTER SENT TO A MAILING LIST OF 4,000. WE MAILED 2 PRINTED NEWSLETTERS TO A LIST OF 9,000. WE ALSO EDUCATED AND ENGAGED WITH THE PUBLIC THROUGH OUR ROBUST WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA. WE HAVE PUBLISHED EXTENSIVELY IN MEDIA ACROSS THE STATE, ON ALL PLATFORMS, INCLUDING NUMEROUS LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
