THE FOSTERING AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE IRISH LANGUAGE AND TRADITIONAL DANCING, MUSIC, SONG AND OTHER ASPECTS OF IRISH CULTURE ARE PART OF THE GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE NEW YORK GAELIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION. THE PASSING ON OF THEIR SPORTING TRADITIONS AND CULTURE TO THEIR CHILDREN & THEIR DESCENDENTS WOULD INSTILL IN THEM A RESPECT FOR THE TRADITIONS AND CULTURE OF PEOPLES FROM OTHER LANDS. THE ASSOC. INTERACTS WITH THE SPORTING & FRATERNAL ORGANIZATIONS OF OTHER NATIONALITIES TO PROMOTE PROGRAMS & POLICIES OF MUTUAL INTEREST.
