THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS AN AFTERSCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAM WHICH SERVES OVER 150 CHILDREN.THE PROGRAMS ENCOURAGE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT THROUGH A COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATIONAL AND MULTICULTURAL FRAMEWORK. THE PROGRAMS TARGETS ACADEMIC ACHIEVERS AND STUDENTS AT RISK FOR VIOLENCE AND DRUG INVOLVEMENT. TWO NUTRITIOUS MEALS AND SNACKS ARE PROVIDED TO PARTICIPANTS. THE CHILDREN RECEIVED ASSISTANCE WITH THEIR HOMEWORK AND TUTORING.THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORED TEN COMMUNITY MEETINGS IN WHICH OVER 225 YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS ATTENDED. THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETINGS WAS TO DISCOURAGE GUN VIOLENCE AND GANG PREVENTION ACTIVITIES.THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ADMINISTERED A CONFERENCE AND CONVENTION WORKSHOP AND AWARDS CEREMONY IN WHICH OVER 400 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED.
