THREE OR FOUR NIGHTS A WEEK, VOLUNTEERS TRAVEL INTO MANHATTAN; THERE THEY SEEK OUT THE HOMELESS POOR. THEY DELIVER CLOTHING, FOOD, BLANKETS AND PERSONAL CARE ITEMS; THEY ENGAGE THE HOMELESS POOR IN CONVERSATION. IN ADDITION TO ADDRESSING THE MATERIAL NEEDS OF THE HOMELESS, MIDNIGHT RUN TRIES TO BREAK DOWN THE BARRIERS BETWEEN PEOPLE.
