POSITIVE WORKFORCE COALITION IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO MINORITIES AND OTHERS IN THE COMMUNITY IN OBTAINING EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMPLOYMENT IN THE CONSTRUCTION IONDUSTRY. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES HANDS-ON JOB TRAINING, REFERRAL AND JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES FOR PARTICIPANTS SEEKING EMPLOYMENT. PARTICIPANTS ACQUIRE THE NECESSARY ELEMENTARY SKILLS AND TRAINING NEEDED FOR ENTRY LEVEL EMPLOYMENT WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. FOR OVER 26 YEARS THE ORGANIZATION HAS PROVIDED MORE THAN 10,000 JOBS FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS AT MAJOR CONSTRUCTION SITED THROUGHOUT THE NEW YORK CITY AREA.
