INDEPENDENT SUPPORTIVE SHARED SENIOR HOUSING - AFFORDABLE SENIOR HOUSING IS LOCATED IN POUND RIDGE, BEDFORD HILLS, CHAPPAQUA, KATONAH AND THORNWOOD, NEW YORK, WHICH ARE LOCATED CLOSE TO SHOPPING AND TOWN CENTERS TO ALLOW RESIDENTS AGED 55 AND OLDER TO ACCESS GROCERY STORES, LIBRARIES, AND OTHER AMENITIES. EACH ADULT HAS A PRIVATE BEDROOM AND SHARES THE COMMON AREAS OF THE HOUSE. INCLUDING TWO INTERGENERATIONAL PROPERTIES, A-HOME HAS NINE HOUSES FOR SENIORS. CASE MANAGEMENT IS AVAILABLE TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY AND SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. VOLUNTEERS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE TO HELP SENIORS GET TO NECESSARY APPOINTMENTS AND TO ENHANCE THEIR OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE AND INTEGRATION INTO THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD.
INDEPENDENT SHARED SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES - A-HOME HAS DEVELOPED AND MANAGES THREE SHARED HOMES IN MOUNT KISCO AND SOUTH SALEM, NEW YORK FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. EACH INDIVIDUAL HAS A PRIVATE BEDROOM AND SHARES THE COMMON AREAS OF THE HOUSE. THE ABILITY TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY IS NECESSARY FOR ADMISSION TO A-HOME AND DISABLED RESIDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED IN THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND MANY HAVE PART OF FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT. AS WITH SENIOR HOUSING, CASE MANAGEMENT IS AVAILABLE TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY AND SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, AND A VOLUNTEER PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE AS NEEDED.
SINGLE PARENT AND FAMILY HOUSING - APARTMENTS IN BEDFORD HILLS, CROTON FALLS AND KATONAH, NEW YORK OFFER HOUSING TO MULTIPLE FAMILIES. FUNDING RESTRICTIONS ON SEVERAL OF THE PROPERTIES LIMITS RESIDENCY TO SINGLE-PARENT FAMILIES. SUPPORT FOR THESE FAMILIES IS AVAILABLE THROUGH A FULL-TIME CASE MANAGER, THE FAMILY INDEPENDENCE FUND AND VOLUNTEER HELP SUCH AS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION.
