ACADEMIC PROGRAMS -AEF HAS TWO MAIN ACADEMIC PROGRAMS: ADVERTISING & SOCIETY QUARTERLY (ASQ) AND ADTEXT. ASQ IS A PEER-REVIEWED SCHOLARLY JOURNAL PUBLISHED BY THE AEF AND DISTRIBUTED BY THE JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY PRESS (JHUP) PROJECT MUSE. AEF ALSO HOLDS AN ANNUAL ASQ COLLOQUIUM THAT GATHERS LEADING SCHOLARS. ADTEXT IS AN ONLINE TEXTBOOK, FOR USE IN WHOLE OR PART, IN COLLEGE COURSES. THE TEXTBOOK EXAMINES THE PLACE OF ADVERTISING IN AMERICAN AND GLOBAL SOCIETY. SINGLE CHAPTERS ON SPECIFIC TOPICS ARE USED AS SUPPLEMENTS IN COURSES ON GENDER, ETHICS, REGIONAL STUDIES, AMERICAN HISTORY, AND GLOBALIZATION. ORGANIZATIONS CAN SELECT TOP TALENT FROM A POOL THAT SPANS RACIAL, ETHNIC, GEOGRAPHIC, AND SOCIOECONOMIC GROUPS, RESULTING IN A MORE REPRESENTATIVE INDUSTRY.
EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES, MEETING AND EVENTS - AEF HOLDS VARIOUS MEETING AND EVENTS TO ENGAGE: 1) THE MARKETING AND ADVERTISING COMMUNITY, 2) ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, 3) PROFESSORS, AND 4) STUDENTS.
