PROVIDING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WITHIN THE TOWN-VILLAGE OF HARRISON, NY INCLUDING TRANSPORT OF SICK, DISABLED, AND INJURED PERSONS TO HOSPITALS PLUS PROVIDING LIFT ASSISTS AND BASIC CARE.

911 EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES: HEMS MADE 2,826 EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WITHIN THE TOWN-VILLAGE OF HARRISON. 911 CALLS INCLUDE TREATMENT AND TRANSPORT OF SICK, DISABLED, AND INJURED PERSONS TO LOCAL HOSPITALS. THE EMS PROVIDES 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK, 365 DAYS A YEAR CARE. UTILIZING HIGH QUALITY MEDICAL PRODUCTS, EQUIPMENT AND MEDICINES THE AGENCY'S PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED STAFF OF PARAMEDICS AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS PROVIDE PROMPT, COMPASSIONATE, AND PATIENT CARE. IN 2021 WE RESPONDED TO 1,839 BLS CALLS AND 987 ALS CALLS INCLUDING STAND-BY AMBULANCES FOR LOCAL EVENTS.
CPR TRAINING CLASSES: HEMS PROVIDES CPR TRAINING CLASSES TO RESIDENTS, SMALL BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS, RECREATIONAL EMPLOYEES, AND CORPORATIONS IN THE TOWN-VILLAGE OF HARRISON. TRAINING PROGRAMS SCHEDULED IN FIELD, ONSITE AT HEADQUARTERS OR AT OTHER FACILITIES. TRAINING PROGRAMS PROVIDE THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE EFFECTIVE BASIC LIFE SUPPORT IN AN EMERGENCY. THE PROGRAM EDUCATES PARTICIPANTS HOW TO RECOGNIZE THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF SERIOUS INJURIES AND SUDDEN ILLNESS. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES CRUCIAL INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO DEAL WITH EMERGENCIES LIKE BLEEDING, SHOCK, BURNS, STRAINS, FRACTURES, ALLERGIC REACTION, DIABETIC AND SEIZURES. HVAC IS AN AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION TRAINING CENTER AND HAVE OTHER AGENCIES UNDER OUR SUPERVISION.
