MEMBER SERVICES: NAJAS HOSTS AN ANNUAL MEETING OF ALL MEMBERS, PROVIDES SPEAKERS FOR MEMBERS' EVENTS AND REPRESENTS THE NETWORK IN INTERNATIONAL ARENAS. WORKING WITH OUTSIDE FOUNDATIONS AND CORPORATIONS, NAJAS PROVIDES FUNDING FOR JAPAN-RELATED PROGRAMMING AT OUR MEMBERS.


HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMATS PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM IS A TWO-WAY 20 DAY INTENSIVE STUDY TOUR FOR JAPANESE AND THE U.S. STUDENTS. THE US PROGRAM INCLUDES 40 JAPANESE AND 40 AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THE JAPAN PROGRAM IS A STUDY TOUR FOR 20 AMERICAN AND 20 JAPANESE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM BUILDS PERSONAL TIES AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND EMPHASIZES CULTURAL AWARENESS BETWEEN THE U.S. AND JAPAN: IT IS 32 YEARS OLD AND HAS OVER 2000 'ALUMNI'


SECRETARIAT ACTIVITY FOR CIE-US: NAJAS ARRANGES MEETINGS OF THE CIE-US BOARD OF DIRECTORS, PREPARES REGULATORY DOCUMENTS AND ACTS AS A LIAISON WITH CIE IN JAPAN. NAJAS AIDS IN SELECTING AMERICAN HOST CITIES FOR CIE'S "GRASSROOTS SUMMITS AND IN RECRUITING AMERICAN PARTICIPANTS FOR GRASSROOTS SUMMITS WHEN THEY ARE HELD IN JAPAN.
