TO SERVE THE COMMUNITIES OF SARATOGA SPRINGS, THE LOWER ADIRONDACK AND NEW YORK STATE CAPITAL AREAS BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO WORLD-CLASS OPERA THROUGH THE PRODUCTION OF AN ANNUAL SUMMER FESTIVAL, AS WELL AS YEAR-ROUND ACTIVITIES INCLUDING EXTENSIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, MENTORSHIP OF EMERGING OPERATIC ARTISTS, AND UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PUBLIC TO EXPERIENCE OPERA IN BOTH ITS HOME THEATER AND NON-TRADITIONAL VENUES THAT LEVERAGE AND EMBRACE THE UNIQUE CULTURAL, HISTORIC, AND NATURAL RESOURCES OF THE AREA.

LAKE GEORGE OPERA FESTIVAL (OPERA SARATOGA) PRESENTED ITS 63RD SUMMER FESTIVAL, COMPRISED OF THREE STAGED OPERAS INCLUDING A FREE, FAMILY FRIENDLY OPERA, AS WELL AS A VARIETY OF CONCERTS AND COMMUNITY EVENTS IN SARATOGA SPRINGS AND THE CAPITAL REGION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, UNIVERSAL PRESERVATION HALL, SPA LITTLE THEATRE IN SARATOGA SPRINGS STATE PARK, SARATOGA SPRINGS PUBLIC LIBRARY, SCHENECTADY CIVIC PLAYHOUSE, SARATOGA FARMERS' MARKET, AND PITNEY MEADOWS COMMUNITY FARM. OPERA SARATOGA'S FESTIVAL ARTIST PROGRAM PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP TO GIFTED SINGERS, CONDUCTORS, AND DIRECTORS WHO WERE IN RESIDENCE AT THE COMPANY FOR A 6-WEEK PERIOD DURING THE SUMMER FESTIVAL. IN ADDITION TO THE SUMMER SEASON, THE COMPANY LAUNCHED ITS CAPITAL REGION-WIDE SONGS BY HEART PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS SUFFERING FROM ALZHEIMERS AND OTHER FORMS OF DIMENSIA, AS WELL AS CONTINUING ITS AMERICA SINGS PROGRAMING, ALLOWING BIPOC ARTISTS TO CURATE AND PERFORM RECITALS AT THE HISTORIC CAFFE LENA IN SARATOGA SPRINGS.
