ASSISTING MEMBERS BY FOSTERING A SENSE OF FRATERNITY AMONG ITS COLLEAGUES AND PROMOTING THE GOODWILL AND CAMARADERIE BY MENTORING AND CONNECTING TO OTHER CHEFS IN THE FRENCH CULINARY FIELD TO MAINTAIN OUR FRENCH HERITAGE.

PROVIDE BENEFITS TO MEMBERS OR THEIR DEPENDENTS TO ASSIST THEM IN CASE OF SICKNESS, DISTRESS, UNEMPLOYMENT, RETIREMENT, DEATH OR OTHER NEED, IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN ESTABLISHED SYSTEM FOR PAYMENT OF BENEFITS. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021, THE ORGANIZATION MADE QUARTERLY RETIREMENT PAYMENTS TO APPROXIMATELY 156 MEMBERS. FIVE PAYMENTS OF SICKNESS BENEFITS WERE PAID TO MEMBERS AND THE SOCIETE PAID DEATH BENEFITS TO THE BENEFICIARIES OF FIVE DECEASED MEMBERS.
CONDUCT ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS TO CULTIVATE THE SOCIAL AND FRATERNAL FEELING AMONG MEMBERS. DUE TO COVID-19, THE SOCIETE'S 2021 ANNUAL DINNER DANCE, WHICH WAS TO BE HELD AT THE YALE CLUB OF NEW YORK, WAS CANCELLED. THE PRIOR YEAR'S ANNUAL DINNER DANCE, WHICH WAS TO BE HELD ON APRIL 26, 2020, WAS ALSO CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19. A DINNER DANCE IS TENATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 2022. THE SOCIETE'S CHAPTERS EACH HELD AN ANNUAL MEETING ALONG WITH EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS IN THEIR GEOGRAPHIC AREA. THE NEWSLETTERS PUBLISHED DURING THE YEAR INFORMED MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETE ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS PROVIDED INFORMATION RELATED TO THE CULINARY FIELD.
TO PROMOTE THE PRACTICE OF THE FRENCH CULINARY ARTS AND THE USE OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE IN THE CULINARY PROFESSION. THE SOCIETE PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING FOR THE STUDENTS OF SIX CULINARY SCHOOLS. THE SOCIETE SUPPORTED THE PROGRAMS OF TWO FRENCH SPEAKING ORGANIZATIONS PROMOTING THE FRENCH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, INCLUDING SUPPORTING THE EFFORTS OF THE FRENCH CONSULATE AND FRENCH CULTURAL CENTERS.
PROVIDE SUPPORT TO RELATED ORGANIZATIONS. DUE TO COVID-19, THE SOCIETE'S ANNUAL FUNDRAISING PICNIC, WHICH WAS TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 13, 2020 ON THE GROUNDS OF THE HOME IN NEW PALTZ, NEW YORK, WAS CANCELLED. THE PRIOR YEAR ANNUAL FUNDRAISING PICNIC WAS HELD SEPTEMBER 8, 2019, AND WAS ATTENDED BY 1,100 INDIVIDUALS. A PICNIC IS TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 11, 2022.
