SEE SCHEDULE OTHE ASSOCIATION PROMOTES THE BUSINESS INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS BY: 1. COORDINATING CONSTRUCTIVE DIALOGUE, COOPERATIVE RESEARCH AND STRATEGIC INFORMATION EXCHANGE AMONG THE VARIOUS AUTOMOTIVE AFTERMARKET, HEAVY DUTY, ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT, AND REMANUFACTURING INDUSTRY PARTIPANTS, AND THE GOVERNMENT ENTITIES THAT REGULATE THEM. 2. PROMOTING NETWORKING AND INFORMATION EXCHANGE AMONG THE MEMBERSHIP THROUGH A WIDE RANGE OF CONFERENCES AND EXHIBITIONS THAT FOCUS ON THE MAJOR ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE TO MEMBERS, AND THROUGH COMMITTEES, COUNCILS, FORUMS, PRODUCT LINE GROUPS, AND PEER GROUPS. 3. PROMOTING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF THE AUTOMOTIVE AFTERMARKET, HEAVY DUTY, ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT, AND REMANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES TO THE COMMUNITY AND TO THE COUNTRY WITH STATISTICS ON SALES, EMPLOYMENT, TAXES, EXPORTS, ETC. 4. COORDINATING RESEARCH ON ISSUES OF INTEREST TO THE MEMBERS, DEVELOPING BENCHMARKING INFORMATION, AND CONDUCTING FORUMS ON SPECIFIC ISSUES. 5. DEVELOPING STRATEGIC ALLIANCES WITH OTHER ASSOCIATIONS AND SOCIETIES TO PROMOTE INFORMATION EXCHANGE, THE INTRODUCTION OF COMPANIES, THE PROMOTION OF RELEVANT RESEARCH AND THE HEALTH OF THE INDUSTRY. 6. PROMOTING INCREASED AWARENESS OF THE CAPABILITIES OF FELLOW ASSOCIATION MEMBERS TO ENHANCE BUSINESS TO BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS.
