STEWARDSHIP (RECOVERY AND LITTER) - THIS PROGRAM BRINGS MEMBERS TOGETHER TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY TO CREATE SOLUTIONS FOR THE RECOVERY AND PROCESSING OF USED PAPER AND PLASTIC FOODSERVICE PACKAGING.


- MEMBERSHIP - THE INSTITUTE REACHES OUT TO POTENTIAL MEMBER COMPANIES TO DETERMINE INTEREST IN JOINING THE ASSOCIATION.- COMMUNICATIONS - THE INSTITUTE SERVES AS THE VOICE OF THE INDUSTRY IN A WIDE VARIETY OF PUBLIC ARENAS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THESE EFFORTS IS TO PROMOTE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF THE INDUSTRY'S PRODUCTS AND THE ADVANTAGES OF THEIR USE TOAUDIENCES AS DIVERSE AS THE MEDIA, CUSTOMERS, EDUCATORS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.- TECHNICAL AFFAIRS - THE INSTITUTE CONDUCTS RESEARCH ON TECHNICAL STANDARDS AND ISSUES AFFECTING THE INDUSTRY.- OUTREACH - THE INSTITUTE COLLABORATES, WHERE APPROPRIATE, WITH ALLIED ORGANIZATIONS ON LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY INITIATIVES, AND OTHER INITIATIVES.- RESEARCH - THE INSTITUTE REGULARLY CONDUCTS SURVEYS AND RESEARCH PROJECTS TO KEEP MEMBERS INFORMED ON INDUSTRY ISSUES.


PUBLIC AFFAIRS - THE INSTITUTE ADVOCATES FOR A FREE MARKET, WITHOUT LAWS OR REGULATIONS THAT WOULD LIMIT THE RESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURE, DISTRIBUTION, USE AND DISPOSAL OF FOODSERVICE PACKAGING.
