THE OYSTER BAY MAIN STREET ASSOCIATION IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO CREATING A HEALTHY ECONOMY IN AN ATTRACTIVE HAMLET, WHILE MAINTAINING THE DOWNTOWN'S HISTORIC INTEGRITY. WE ENGAGE THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS TO REVITALIZE THE HEART OF OYSTER BAY THROUGH RESPONSIBLE PRESERVATION, BEAUTIFICATION, COMMUNITY EVENTS, EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH, AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT.

COMMUNITY EVENTS: THROUGHOUT THE YEAR OBMSA ORGANIZES FREE EVENTS IN THE DOWNTOWN TO HELP FOSTER A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER, AND ENCOURAGE OUR MEMBERS TO SHOP LOCAL. WE HOST A VARIETY OF EVENTS, INCLUDING: THE OYSTER BAY MARKET, DANCING IN THE STREET, BOO-TIQUES BY THE BAY, AND THE HOLIDAY STROLL AND TREE LIGHTING.


FACADE & SIGN IMPROVEMENT: THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIVATELY FUNDED GRANT WE ASSISTED BUSINESS OWNERS IN THE DOWNTOWN WITH GRANT MONEY TO FABRICATE AND INSTALL SIGNS IN THE BUSINESS DISTRICT.


SEASONAL DECORATIONS: THE ORGANIZATION DECORATED THE LAMP POSTS OF THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS DISTRICT WITH 168 HANGING BASKETS IN THE SUMMER AND 168 WREATHS IN THE WINTER. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PURCHASES THE HOLIDAY DECORATIONS AND CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE CENTER OF THE DOWNTOWN. OBMSA INSTALLS AND MAINTAINS ALL DECORATIONS.
