THE ARTS PANORAMA IS AN ANNUAL SIGNATURE PROGRAM THAT SHOWCASES LOCAL ART AND MUSIC OF TALENTED YOUTH IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. IN THIS PROGRAM, THE CULTURE AND ART OF THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY AS WELL AS THE LONG ISLAND COMMUNITY IS PRESENTED WHERE BOTH ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS AND PRIZES FOR TALENT ARE AWARDED. SINCE 1980, THE GREATEST LOVE COTILLION IS OUT SIGNATURE BIENNIAL FUNDRAISER. THIS EVENT SUPPORTS OUR PROGRAMS AND ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS.
ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA SORORITY, INCORPORATED IS DEDICATED TO IMPLEMENTING PROGRAMS OF SERVICE THAT ENHANCE THE SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND EDUCATIONAL WELL-BEING OF THE LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES. PROGRAMS REMAIN THE HEART OF AKA. THE SIZE AND SCOPE OF SERVICES PROVIDED TO OUR COMMUNITIES HAVE GROWN AND SIGNIFICANTLY IMPOVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL WHO RESIDE WIHTIN OUR SERVICE AREAS.
THE 2018-2022 INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM TARGETS ARE: TARGET 1: HBCU FOR LIFE: A CALL TO ACTION; TARGET 2: WOMENS HEALTHCARE AND WELLNESS; TARGET 3: BUILDING YOUR ECONOMIC LEGACY; TARGET 4: THE ARTS!; AND, TARGET 5: GLOBAL IMPACT. IN ADDITION TO THE FIVE PROGRAM TARGETS, THE SIGNATURE PROGRAM IS CAP(SM) WHICH IS THE ABBREVIATION FOR COLLEGE ADMISSIONS PROCESS. IT IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST STUDENTS IN THEIR EFFORTS TO ENTER COLLEGE BY PROVIDING A HANDS-ON APPROACH THAT INCLUDES ALL THE STEPS FROM RESEARCHING VARIOUS COLLEGES TO ACTUALLY COMPLETING THE APPLICATION PROCESS.
