STATEN ISLAND UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL PROVIDES ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL SERVICES AT TWO FACILITIES IN RICHMOND COUNTY. NORTH AND SOUTH SITE CAMPUSES PROVIDE SERVICES IN CARDIOLOGY, BURN CARE, TRAUMA, ORTHOPEDICS, ONCOLOGY, GERIATRICS, OBSTETRICS, PEDIATRICS, REHABILITATION, PRIMARY CARE, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, HOSPICE, AND HOME CARE REGARDLESS OF ABILITY TO PAY. IN 2021 THE COMBINED CAMPUSES OF THE HOSPITAL HAD 35,223 DISCHARGES, (EXCLUDING NORMAL NEWBORN DISCHARGES); 2,442 DELIVERIES; 112,372 EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT VISITS (INCLUDES 27,514 ADMITS); AND 18,732 AMBULATORY SURGERY CASES.
